Jeffrey Lynn Goldblum of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania helped me through a difficult winter. Seriously, go on a Jeff Goldblum interview binge on YouTube, and I guarantee you’ll feel so much better about life afterward.
He’s on my short list of actors I’d love to cast in the movie I’ve yet to write. Something where he breaks the fourth wall or something. I dunno.
Why this completely random post? His animating personality and bohemian spirit make it so easy to laud his work, regardless of the medium (he’s an accomplished jazz musician too)!

My mom was obsessed with “The Fly” when I was a little, but the film terrified me.
I appreciate his eccentric brand of quirk and the cadence of this voice. And while scrolling through his filmography, I realized he’s like a sci-fi genre staple. Dare I say “the King of Sci-Fi???” —that may be going too far.
Shouts to Taika Waititi for nabbing him to play the Grandmaster in “Thor: Ragnarok,” a role where he basically portrayed himself.
He’s a joy to watch.
