“A Moment” reminded me of commercials around the turn of the millennium that worked its editing game to the bone for a punchline.
A time when irony and puns seemed to buzz. I believe that if this film were shortened down to 30 or 45 seconds, it’d fit perfectly with that era.
.
The reveal was spoiled, almost immediately—the film’s physical setting was a dead giveaway. The distance between the chair and the couch, the sterility of the couple, and the position of the plant killed the surprise for me. 😂😂😂
And the banter about the tea! I mean… c’mon.
I think the plot subverting expectations was good, but I’ve seen this film before (multiple times) with a different editing style.
.
The aftermath of the reveal was a tad too drawn out. The humor in the conclusion would’ve been more crisp had Ben (Cason Weiss) left the space even more awkwardly than he did.

“A Moment” was a decent watch, but not memorable one.
