This was a really interesting Claymation, and I enjoyed the writing, but I really couldn’t get into it. As the film went on, especially during the therapy scenes, I found myself doing the meme of Leonardo DiCaprio’s character in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” pointing at the television scene because…relatability.

I think this film hit home for me due to quarantine—between maskne and the ongoing breakouts and stress and situationships dulling out, “Blackheads” helped place that figurative mirror I’d been actively avoiding directly in front of me. 😣 😣

“Imagestagram” was a nice touch!! 👌🏾😏👌🏾

Also, as soon as I saw the pink pin on Sofia’s vanity, I was hoping they’d do a close-up shot, and that it’d be a Planned Parenthood button—and it totally was! Loved that nod! 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾
