My “hadta be” Coming 2 America review:

🤔 This film hadta be written in 2000. The writers hadta be like “let’s write something so hyperbolically predictable, that’s it’s exhausting.” And then exceeded that aim.

🤔 This film hadta be R-rated. Like, originally. All those dick “jokes” and fellatio euphemisms, and it’s still PG-13. Bih, whet?!

🤔 This film hadta be produced with the idea of a big box office based on the strength of the original. Then the panny hit, and they needed to sell to recoup on the budget.  

🤔 Someone in casting hadta be like “how many unnecessary cameos can we add within the first 20 minutes of the film?” And succeeded.

🤔 The writers hadta be like “let’s disrespect Vanessa Bell Calloway’s character more than we did in the original. And then let’s do the same thing with Teyana Taylor. 

🤔 This film hadta be “a wink and a nod” to Disney/Marvel to consider KiKi for Ororo Munroe. Wouldn’t be mad at it. The fight scenes were weird though.
