Aight, so…I just don’t think I ever want to see another boxing piece co-written by Sly. No shade.

And, after a conversation with a close friend, I have to wonder about how great Michael B. Jordan is as an actor.

Even after a second viewing, the film still felt so cringeworthy during too. many. moments. Looked nice, but I’m good on these formulaic films for a minute. It was so “paint-by- numbers” that you could guess the plot from the three trailers.

Also, I kept wondering which climax was the climax. I dunno. I just…expected something better…
