Everything Everywhere
All at Once

Everything Everywhere All at Once” (EEAAO) is what I imagine happens when all of your interests’ pique and like, come, at the time.

.

A truly orgasmic experience.

.

Michelle Yeoh is now cemented as of my G.O.A.Ts.

I shall hear nothing, the fuck, else.

She is there.

My queen.

My fucking Queen! 👑

.

Also, I was unfamiliar with the directors, the Daniels, but I need them to begin working on their next project immediately.

.

I had not felt this good coming out of a theater since I saw “기생충 Parasite” (2019) and “Sorry to Bother You” (2018).

EEAAO referenced so many films, and with such care, but I only want to dive into one—it is one of my favorites romances and occupies a spot on my Mount Rushmore of Cinema—Wong Kar-Wai’s “花樣年華 In the Mood for Love” (2000). 🥀

.

I mean, how fucking dare you, the Daniels? 😏😏

Got my ass choked up in the theater watching you reference one of my favorite pieces of art.

Slicking back Waymond’s (Ke Huy Quan) hair, and having him and Michelle post up in an alley.

Looking like fine ass nocturnal beauties. Boffum.

BAYYYYY-👏🏾 BEEEEEEEEE👏🏾…with the fucking cigarette!!!!

.

.

From the music to the stunts, to the over-the-top fight sequences and choreography!!!!

To the direction, and phenomenal acting from the cast!!!

Bruh.

The editing!!!!

Bruh…

A+ 🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾

.

I knew shit was gonna be raw as soon as I saw James Hong as the patriarch of the fam—that man is an acting legend.

So happy for everyone involved. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 This was a beautiful film, from top to bottom.

I squirm when I see “it’ll make you laugh and cry” as a review to promo a film, but this film honestly has something for everyone.

It is as absurd as it is charming.

It’s a beautiful hybrid conceptual piece of art that aimed to call attention to so many specific human emotions, but at its core, it’s about community and accepting and believing in yourself, even when the end of the world in on the line.

.

I’ll close this episode of “A24 has yet to produce an ‘L’ in my book” with this…

This is cinema.

.

I am so happy I was able to view it.

Give Michelle Yeoh her things. NEOW.
