I…
I just…
I think my mans, Willard Smith, is allergic to making good movies, bruh.
Look, don’t believe me? Here’s a listing of his last 10 films, excluding this one, as a leading actor:
- Aladdin (2019)
- Bright (2017)
- Collateral Beauty (2016)
- Suicide Squad (2016)
- Concussion (2015)
- Focus (2015)
- After Earth (2013)
- Men in Black III (2012)
- Seven Pounds (2008)
- Hancock (2008)
Bruh, I wasn’t even legal the last time this man had a decent film. SHHHHHIIIIIDDDDDD. That’s terrible. Talking bout he deserved an Oscar for “Concussion.” As my mans Mero says…
I’m surprised Ang Lee (“Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”) directed this! Shit, I’m surprised anyone financed, produced, and distributed this for $138,000,000 (allegedly). I mean, I get what they were attempting to do. My initial issue was screenplay…definitely a recycled story, and this wasn’t the better version. Second issue—the de-aging CGI. And again, I get what they were ATTEMPTING to do, but bruh!!!!!!!!!! They used double CGI figures during fighting scenes between the fake Will and the real Will. So why even cast real Will!? It looked so cheesy, and like a second off cue for each action and reaction. They shouldn’t gotten whatever Captain Marvel did with Samuel L. Jackson. It would’ve helped by a twinge.
That ending action scene with the big reveal was hilarious! The theater simultaneously open-mouthed cackled. 😂😂😂
This was…look, just…entertain this 💩💩💩 at your own peril. I may save you $15+ and 117 minutes of your time, and fo’ that… You’re Welcome.
Just RedBox or Netflix or whatever the kids are doing nowadays. 🙃🙃🙃
One more thing, I’d like to give a shout-out to the super obvi’ product placements:
- Coca-Cola—That iconic red can never seems to let us down.
- Ford and Chevrolet—Cool, thanks. We get it. 😉😉
- Anheuser-Busch—Def peeped the Stella Artois and Budweiser bottles. The director made sure there were a few extra unnecessary establishing shots. Clever… sharp. 😒😒
- Apple—I mean, duh.
(I mean, with that price tag, I don’t blame them. And Ang Lee and Will Smith ain’t cheap.)
