Life Itself

The internet’s boyfriend, Oscar Isaac, was ummm…😐

Okay, so, if you enjoy the emotional carousel of shows like “This is Us,” then this film is for you.

If you like cyclical storytelling in films like “Crazy, Stupid Love,” where there’s always a secret and the major premise of the film is to catch the audience up with solving the puzzle, then this film is for you.

If you are in a deeply depressive state, or have experienced a recent family trauma or loss, this film is not for you.

Q&A:

Was this movie as bad as Rotten Tomatoes’ critics say it was? In my opinion, no, but close.

Was this film a waste of an Annette Benning casting? Yes, it was! Absolutely.

Is this one of the two disappointing Oscar Issac films I’ve seen in a row in the year of our Lord 2018? Yes, but this film was not as bad as “Operation Finale.”

Personal Conundrum:

If I had to choose between busting cement bricks with the heels of my feet and re-watching this movie…I’d probably be willing to create the bricks I’d plan to bust.

Adieu.

P.S.: There was an awkward Samuel L. Jackson voiceover at the beginning of this film.  And not like the surprise Jackson voiceover cameo Quentin Tarantino used to introduce Sgt. Hugo Stiglitz in ‘Inglorious Basterds.’  I just…I dunno.
