I could only think of three words:
Harrowing.
Tender.
Mortifying.
Harrowing—the two young men exploring their relationship in the presence of company felt dangerous and judged.
Tender—great use of light and reflection. Beautiful cinematography.
Mortifying—the final scenes of Coach Novik and Leo trapped in the bathroom, with the door seemingly locked… it made my blood run cold.
The director/screenwriter, Daniel Antebi, did a lot in seven minutes. It’s been weeks since my initial viewing, and this short film still sticks in my mind, and for good reasons.
